Chad has worked for Geothermal Resource Technologies for nearly two decades and is a double mechanical engineering degree holder.  Thermal conductivity testing is the central focus of GRTI, and without accurate information in advance of a large geo project, you’re just throwing darts while blindfolded.

You can have a nice building with excellent geo equipment and controls inside—but without knowing the conductivity of underground formations meeting your geo heat exchanger, you’re risking spending too much on drilling and looping, letting the ground temperature escape design parameters over time, or degrading the equipment’s capacity to deliver heating and cooling.

TC testing is one of those “Ounce of prevention…” situations that help ensure that conditioned building spaces will perform as promised, helping to spread the good news about geo heat pump technology.
